Certification for Spring Cleaning/Special Projects Specialists

• Duration: Four two-hour classes and three on-site observations and evaluations
• Schedule for classes: Three times a year (Christmas break, twice in the summer)
• Teachers: Michael and Lera McDermott
• Content: Advanced skills in assessment, project strategies, woodcare issues, principles for Move-out and Move-in Projects, stain recovery, Master Shower renovation, advanced Feng Shui principles of energy, time and task management and floor care/waxing principles
• Required Prerequisites: successful completion of basic Bathroom Skills, Kitchen Skills and Detail Dusting Skills
• Certification Privileges: promotion ($.75/hr raise), eligible to apply for Academy Faculty Training

Test for Faculty

1. Explain the four levels of connecting?
2. Are you a taker or a giver? Explain.
3. Explain the major differences between a cleaner and a Professional Master Housekeeper.
4. Describe the processes to re-energize the space you are cleaning.
5. Rank in order of importance the areas you would expect to find build up in: bathrooms, kitchen, master bedroom, family room, entrance
6. List the golden rules of the system and the rationale for each.
7. "Energy never lies." What does that mean?
8. Service Heart, what is it?
9. Why is it important to come to the work site with energy and enthusiasm.
10. List and describe your passions.
